Dyversity Communications wins ‘Leader Award’ at the 2015 Summit Emerging Media Awards for WelcomePack ‘I Love Canada’ campaign

Just back from 2016 New Year celebrations, Dyversity Communications the leading multicultural agency in Canada is celebrating again – this time for winning the ‘Leader Award’ at the Summit Emerging Media Awards (Summit EMA), for its ‘I Love Canada’ campaign for WelcomePack Canada.

For generations, Canada has been welcoming people from all over the world to her shores. So on Canada Day 2015, WelcomePack Canada (a program which welcomes newcomers to Canada) was inspired to create a platform for new immigrants and Canadians alike to get together and proclaim their love for Canada. In just two weeks, by July 1, Canada’s 148th birthday, the campaign generated 39,455 ‘LOVES’ as people clicked the ‘I Love Canada’ button on the site http://welcomepackcanada.com/canada-day-2015-campaign/

As part of this winning digital campaign, a Canada Day eBook called ‘I Love Canada’ was designed and shared online. With specially created characters (new immigrant families from the main cultural groups), this story wove together Canada’s history, natural beauty and achievements, leaving one with a deep appreciation of belonging to this great land. An inspiring eCard which applauded the values Canada stands for - freedom, peace, love of nature, and love of diversity - shared warmth as Canada Day greetings. An ‘O Canada Contest’ tested visitors on our national anthem with ‘Canada Rocks’ sippers and special limited edition Canada Flag coin collections to be won.

Summit EMA celebrates creativity, innovation, and those pushing the bounds of creative excellence in all forms of emerging media. It recognizes work that exhibits new methods, demonstrating excellence on the web through apps, videos, mobile sites and social media. The 2015 competition received over 1300 entries from countries the world over, among which only 7% earned recognition.
